The End of 1rst Quarter!!!
I've done so much this first quarter. Here is what I've learned. For a job you have to prepare, have a good resumé, have searched the job you want, have an application, and have prepared for the interview.
There are many benefits of playing a team sport. You learn good teamwork. Makes you more healthy by being active. You learn good sportsmanship. You can also benefit scholarship wise. Plus you learn how to communicate with people more.
Formal language can be used for any situation where you have a serious purpose. It contains complex sentence structure, sophisticated vocabulary, standard punctuation, no contrations, no slanf, and uses 1rst person pronoun. While formal language is used around friends, in humorous essays, and casual talk. It contains everyday words, slang, everyday expressions, and clichés.
In an argument, the claim i supported by evidence. Evidence can take on different forms depending on the nature of the argument. Logos is evidence based on logic, facts, and truths. An existence is why the argument exists. Ethos is the believability of the speaker, credibility and trustworthyness. Persona is the adopted perspective used to deliver an argument. Pathos is the evidence designed to stir the emotions of the audience.
Sex is the biological characteristics with which we are born. Gender is the learned attitudes and behaviors that characterize people of one sex or the other. Gender roles are characteristics, attitudes, feelings, and behaviors that society expects of females and males. Gender identity is learned in early childhood, refers to one's perception of him or herself as either masculine or feminine.
You use commas to separate a list of three or more items. Is used to separate an independent clause. Should come before a conjunction. Used to separate a dependent clause. Used to separate quotation from the rest of the sentence. Used to separate city from country or state.
